So, I often find myself talking to my cat patients, hoping that in some small way, they actually do understand what I’m saying. Having thought about this, I came up with a list of the top 3 things I wish I could tell my cat patients:
1. I’m not trying to kill you with injections or needles. I’m actually trying to help you even though it seems like we are torturing you. Please don’t be scared.
2. Even though the medication I prescribe usually tastes bad, it’s good for you. I swear!
3. I really wish you all lived longer than you do.
I always tell people that if I had a superpower, it would be to be able to communicate with animals. If that power wasn’t available, I would want to be able to eat all the food that I want and transfer all the calories to the super villains of the world. Very random, I know. However, my husband reminds me that maybe I don’t want to know what they’re trying to communicate with me because I’m sure my cats would tell me that I smother them too much. But it would be nice if they understood what I was trying to tell them : )
So what are the things that you wish your kitties could understand?
