Welcome to Cat Therapy 2.0!
I started this project a while back, hoping I would have the courage and dedication to offer my readers something I thought to be invaluable to cat owners: medical information with a personal touch. But as my work life got more and more hectic, Cat Therapy had to take a back seat.
It’s amazing what self-sabotage coupled with a pint of self-doubt and a drizzle of over exhaustion can do to kill a dream. Dreams fail when you don’t believe in them enough to nurture them and that’s essentially what happened. But the best thing about failure is what we can glean from it. The truth is despite my constant positive self-talk, I wasn’t ready the first time around. I was suffering from the dreaded disease of “imposter syndrome.”
However, after extensive discussions with clients, I came to the conclusion that people really do want more information so they can do what’s best for their cats. So I’m back! (I literally have this song playing in my mind as I’m typing) I’ve relaunched the site with six initial articles on topics such as dental care, pet insurance and a product review of the Sleepy Pod (I love it!). And I have another twenty articles all queued up and ready to go! I’m aiming to do weekly updates, probably on Tuesdays.
I am hopeful that with this blog, I can reach a larger audience and empower people with the necessary resources and information to make the best decisions for their feline friend’s quality of life. However, please keep in mind that this blog is not meant to replace a visit to your veterinarian. There is nothing that can replace seeing your doctor and having a physical examination performed on your cat.
If you’re anything like me though, your cats are your life and you do whatever you can to provide them with the best possible care. So I’m taking a leap of faith and hoping that some of you will join me on this wild adventure. This website will be a learning experience and ever-evolving process and I would love nothing more than to grow and have long-lasting meaningful conversations with you. Please share your thoughts, questions, favorite cat memories with me. I’d love to hear them all! No matter where this site goes, my mission will always be the same.
Better living with your cat.
With that said, thank you for allowing me to be vulnerable with you and thank you for reading!
